We are delighted to announce that touchIME has reached a significant milestone \u2013 our first citable publication describing the impact of our education, titled:<\/span><\/p>\n

The Educational Impact of Web-Based, Faculty-Led Continuing Medical Education Programs in Type 2 Diabetes: A Survey Study to Analyze Changes in Knowledge, Competence, and Performance of Health Care Professionals<\/span><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Recently accepted by <\/span>JMIR Medical Education<\/span><\/em>, this paper presents the educational outcomes \u2013 including assessment of Performance \u2013 from a touchIN CONVERSATION and a touchMDT hosted on touchENDOCRINOLOGY (our first featuring a real-life patient) on the management of type 2 diabetes (T2D) and obesity.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The results demonstrate how short, case-based, online CME activities designed for HCPs to fit into their clinical schedules can improve knowledge, competence, and performance in T2D\/obesity management.<\/span><\/p>\n

We received many positive comments from the peer reviewers, with one calling it an <\/span>\u201cexcellent introduction to the medical education for T2D.\u201d<\/span> They go on to say,<\/span> \u201cAn interesting manuscript that offers an important evaluation of online education\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Another reviewer explained <\/span>\u201c…I have seen lots of these CMEs and wondered if they were effective, and this paper articulated the findings quite well, giving reassurance that this format of education is effective..\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

We are incredibly proud of this publication. It represents a fantastic team effort, including internal and external authors and critical contributions across the business.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s also the first of several citable publications in various peer-reviewed formats in the pipeline that will showcase recognition of our excellent outcomes and real-world improvements to clinical practice.<\/span><\/p>\n
