We are looking for a proactive and experienced Project Manager to join our small but passionate team on a 12-14 month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave, ideally starting in September 2025 to allow for a structured handover. PROJECT MANAGER (Maternity Cover)

Our team is driven by the belief that we can make a genuine difference to patient outcomes by providing healthcare professionals (HCPs) with timely, effective, and engaging medical  education.

As a Project Manager, you’ll be highly organised and you’ll lead the end to-end delivery of multiple medical education programmes -managing  timelines, budgets, faculty liaison, content development, and client  communications- with professionalism and care. Adaptability, clear  communication, and attention to detail are essential, as is the ability to work both independently and as part of a supportive remote team.

Overview 

  • Lead the successful delivery of high-quality medical education activities
  • Drive progress across assigned projects, ensuring on-time, on budget, and on-brief delivery
  • Develop, own, and actively manage project timelines, identifying  and resolving risks proactively
  • Oversee multiple project streams simultaneously with clarity,  structure, and a calm approach
  • Maintain strong cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Serve as a faculty liaison to foster strong, collaborative relationships
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Maintain excellent relationships with accreditation bodies such  as ACCME and EBAC to ensure compliance and uphold educational standards

Responsibilities

  • Show a keen understanding of deliverables across all projects to ensure successful deliv desired outcome(s)
  • Ensure Head of Project Management is aware of any significant challenges impacting  project budgets or launch dates
  • Demonstrate prior awareness of CME and accreditation processes and maintain strong  relationships with accreditation bodies such as ACCME and EBAC, ensuring adherence to  guidelines and fostering positive collaboration
  • Co-ordinate the resources required to successfully deliver the project(s), flagging any additional resource needs proactively
  • Support accurate financial reconciliation of projects, including tracking budgets, processing  invoices, and ensuring alignment with internal financial procedures and supporter agreements
  • Develop effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with faculty to support collaboration and alignment on educational objectives
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and to enhance team efficiency
  • Support the development and maintenance of project-specific websites using WordPress, ensuring content is accurate, compliant, and visually aligned with project objectives

Event coordination for live events  

  • Manage logistics and communication for faculty participation, including scheduling, travel, and onsite requirements
  • Liaise with supporters to ensure alignment with contractual agreement and maintaining clear and professional communication throughout
  • Coordinate with congress secretariats and third-party organisers to meet key deadlines and logistical requirements
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (design, editorial, education publicity) to ensure timely delivery of high-quality event
  • Oversee timeline and task management for all live event activities to ensure seamless execution and compliance with all relevant processes

Personal Specification

Experience, skills, and qualifications 

  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a remote team
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective  relationships with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with a good understanding of  commercial drivers
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a high-pressure environment
  • Strong written English, with excellent grammar and spelling
  • Demonstrated experience working with freelancers and coordinating external resources
  • A scientific degree or equivalent level of education is desirable
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a medical education or healthcare agency
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with building or maintaining websites using WordPress, with an eye for both  usability and compliance
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the UK and internationally, as required

DIRECTOR OF STRATEGIC ACCOUNTS

The Director of Strategic Accounts, TMC (Business Development team) will work actively to develop new TMC business in the form of TMC sales revenue and maintain and cultivate existing TMC client relationships globally. A key part of this role is ensuring quarterly and annual sales targets are met.

DIRECTOR OF STRATEGIC ACCOUNTS

Primary Responsibilities

• Planning and executing individual sales targets identified by management by selling TMC solutions to pharmaceutical companies globally (targeting big as well as mid to smaller size pharma)
• Updating CRM system (Salesforce) at a minimum once weekly but preferably in real time to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting of TMC business
• Update salesforce post-sale to ensure client invoicing is completed and accurate
• Actively developing new business through not only existing client leads but also through actively mapping and pursuing new pharmaceutical potential client contacts
• Responsibility for nurturing and maintaining client relationships with both existing and new clients, having a sense of client service. Ensure client feels confident you are involved in a project from start to finish by working closely with Project Management and Medical & Editorial teams at TMC as required to ensure project delivered
• Ensure TMC solutions are strategically matched with client needs, demonstrate firm understanding of client brands and lifecycle to match TMC solutions accordingly and in tandem with M&E recommendations
• Keep management, especially direct line manager abreast of any key business aspects in your territory (usually by discussion and review in a weekly or bi-weekly 1:1 meeting) and immediately flag any potential issues proactively to management concerning client relationships, proposals in development, etc.
• Have sense of when approval is needed from management such as for custom pricing, or custom adaptations of TMC solutions or when expedited timelines are required
• Collaborate successfully with other internal departments of TMM including but not limited to M&E, Project Management teams and other TMC colleagues involved in delivering TMC proposals and solutions
• Adhere to compliance norms both internally at TMC and when proposing TMC solutions to clients (and be closely aligned with ABPI code in actions and recommendations)

Secondary Responsibilities

• Demonstrate familiarity with TMC competitors and TMC’s position in the medical communications landscape, adjust sales proposals if needed
• Keep abreast of industry landscape and any changes that may affect ability to deliver sales targets and make recommendations on how to overcome
• Be able to recognize potential new growth areas for TMC and discuss with management as appropriate
• Keep up to date with ABPI and all company compliance policies
• Identify own developmental needs and work with management in putting appropriate development plans in place

Personal Specification

• BS degree and scientific background a plus
• Strong sense of personal responsibility, proactivity and ability to work to a target
• Previous sales experience and familiarity with sales tactics needed to develop new business (account mapping, familiarity with business development by email and phone or other methods), previous sales experience in a b2b sales setting for medical communications preferred
• Previous experience nurturing and maintaining client relationships (in a client services role) and in the medical communications landscape is preferred
• Willingness to travel
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), MS Project, email, and Internet, including G-Suite (and Salesforce preferred)
• Familiarity with ABPI code and compliance norms preferred
• Existing client pharma relationships a plus

SENIOR MEDICAL WRITER/PRINCIPAL MEDICAL WRITER

As a core member of the team and under the guidance of a Medical Director, the Senior Medical Writer or Principal Medical Writer will be responsible for the editorial development of new grant requests and educational materials for a range of digital activity formats. The Senior Medical Writer or Principal Medical Writer will use their experience and carry out research to develop the subject matter knowledge needed for their scientific writing. Working closely with our Medical Directors and clinical experts, they will ensure all their materials are written to the highest scientific quality and meet key learning objectives that address unmet educational needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work in collaboration with a Medical Director to deliver assigned activities, taking responsibility for the development of content and adherence to timelines.
  • Ensure that your work is of high quality, scientifically accurate, appropriate to the target audience, meets the educational objectives of the activity and conforms to industry guidelines.
  • Support the Medical Directors, and when required take the lead, in building key relationships with clinical experts (and pharmaceutical supporters).
  • Work closely with the project management team to ensure activities are completed on time and within budget.
  • Proactively manage workload and assist with forecasting resource requirements to adequately service educational activities.
  • Maintain and develop knowledge in relevant therapy areas, industry guidelines and best practices.
  • Provide excellent scientific and strategic input during interactions with clinical experts/supporters.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of new grant requests.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and share ideas to improve efficiency or quality to achieve team goals.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Life science degree essential, higher degree (PhD) preferred.
  • A Senior Medical Writer must have a minimum of 3 years’ industry experience and a Principal Medical Writer 5 years’ experience.
  • Ability to pick up on new therapy areas quickly and to work independently across multiple activities.
  • Excellent scientific writing style.
  • Fantastic attention to detail.
  • Good team player.
  • Proven organisational and planning abilities.
  • Proactivity and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Presentation skills.
