Touch Medical Media celebrates International Women’s Day 2022
International Women’s Day (IWD) provides a key moment to celebrate women’s achievements in the workplace and showcase employer initiatives and support. At Touch Medical Media we’re proud to say that 73% of our team are women and our company ethos truly supports the IWD2022 theme #BreakTheBias.
We’ve spoken to some of the women in the team who talk about Touch Medical Media being inclusive, diverse, free of stereotypes and discrimination – difference is valued and celebrated and we forge ahead supporting women’s equality.
“Celebrating and supporting women is a year-round responsibility. There is still a long way to go but IWD is pivotal in keeping the debate at the forefront of people’s minds. In the UK and on a global scale, girls and women continue to face huge injustices simply because of their gender. IWD demands equality for women everywhere, in the hope that the women of tomorrow no longer face discrimination, prejudice or violence.”
Siân Beynon, Head of Design
“Touch Medical Media for me is a progressive employer where employees can shine and develop. Having a strong female culture with women in key leadership roles provides a supportive environment where I feel supported and valued for my contribution to the business. I find my work varied, interesting and rewarding and explains why I have worked for Touch for 9 years!
We are proud to celebrate the work and achievements of the women in the team at Touch Medical Media and hope this inspires other women on a global scale.”
Caroline Markham, Head of Strategic Partnerships
“Working for a company that celebrates diversity and offers equal opportunity to all is important to me, and I’m proud to be part of the touch culture that gives all employees the opportunity to achieve their potential.”
Nicola Cartridge, Head of Medical & Editorial
“At touchIME we only hire and promote the most talented people, it turns out that a lot of them are women! I’m proud to be part of an organisation that celebrates diversity and gender equality and where I am not a woman MD, I’m just the MD.”
Tammy Gibbs, Group Managing Director
“I am proud to be at the forefront of and to work with many female colleagues to power touch’s digital transformation; tech roles and the tech industry is still predominantly male and this is a bias we need to work harder to break. It’s great to work for a company where digital or technical roles are open to all genders.”
Ellen Watts, Operations Director
“At Touch we recognise International Women’s day and celebrate our successful company where 72% of women are employed in our workforce, 16% of which are in Senior Management roles. Whilst it’s important to acknowledge the success of the ladies in our team, it is also paramount to note that at Touch, your individuality and hard work is recognised regardless of your gender.”
Gill Brooks, Employee Experience Director
